Koda.us, the social recruiting start-up, completed $3 million in angel investing last month. For both job seekers and employers, Koda provides an interesting twist on social media and social recruiting hiring.
Like Facebook it’s friendly – photos, info about yourself, videos, if you want to upload one. Like LinkedIn, users can connect with companies, view open jobs, and apply for the jobs via Koda.
The synergy between job seeker and employer is interesting, and Koda free for both companies and candidates. Koda’s target market is Gen Y job seekers and the companies interested in recruiting them and the platform lends itself well to the college and recent grad market, who are, of course, absolutely comfortable with Facebook and beginning to step it up a notch to LinkedIn.
