Mylatch.com

Mylatch.com is a new search engine with social media bells and whistles. The job search engine is powered by SimplyHired.com, so there’s nothing new when it comes to job listings. Getting at them is easy though – there’s a Google map you can click on to see postings.  There’s also a list of new postings.

Next to each job posting there are icons for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twellow, Salary Information. Users can can save the job and apply with one of three resumes they have uploaded, or upload a new one to apply specifically for the job posting you’re looking at.   Adding a cover letter is an option, too.

There’ s a Reminder Tool that will remind you to follow up with the recruiter in 10 days (or whatever time period you select). The other bells and whistles including a Twitter feed of jobs, Career Tools (where users upload resumes, cover letters, and video), and recommendations.  You’ll find a sales pitch or two – for interview advice and information.  You can safely ignore them.

From the employer side My Latch says companies can  ”…brand for talent acquisition, use a combination of traditional and social media recruiting tools, research candidates and interview candidates online in stages, through innovative video evaluation tools.”
