LinkUp Facebook App

Job search engine LinkUp’s Facebook App -  Current-Jobs-at-Our-Company - provides a way for companies to automatically publish jobs from their corporate websites onto their Facebook Fan pages. Recent additions to the list of companies using the App includes USA Today, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, CentraState Health Care Systems, Medtronic, and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. Staffing agencies, recruiters, and advertising agencies using LinkUp’s Facebook App, as well.

LinkUp’s Facebook App places a jobs widget on a company’s Facebook wall, as well as a separate Jobs tab on the company Fan Page that lists all of the current job listings from the company’s corporate website. When Facebook users click on a job listing on Facebook, they are directed to the job listing on the company’s website to apply.

Jennifer Greenfield, Director of Interactive Services at Alstin Communications, explains how easy it is for companies to use, “Our first implementation of the LinkUp Jobs App was on the Christiana Care Health System Career Fan Page. The App was easy to implement and syncing with their career site and ATS was seamless. All of their job postings were viewable on Facebook within one hour of adding the App and CCHS’s Fans increased 96% in a six-week period. The LinkUp Jobs App will definitely become a ‘must have’ element to all our Fan Pages.”

Innovative companies are providing electronic connections that enable job seekers to maximize their job search. And, thanks to internet networking sites, the job seeker can usually find a connection that will help them bridge the chasm from either current job to new job – - or that huge chasm between unemployed to new job.

Great tools for everyone to utilize. The challenge is to stay in the race!!!

Here’s another good job facebook app that focuses on side jobs and odd jobs. It’s called http://apps.facebook.com/jobbullet/. Permanent jobs are hard to find these days so in the meantime, you could keep your head above water by finding temp jobs.

If you have a project or job that you need done, you can post it on http://apps.facebook.com/outsourcework/ and instantly have professionals give you bids. There are no obligations and you decide how much you want to pay for your project.
